Two Birds
Auzelle Epeneter

Let me prove that I can be the two birds trading positions in opposite trees.  Let me find my way into the cooler side of the canyon, a way to travel through the last daylight, a way to draw out all the juice.

The moon drops out of the sky, but I remember to look beneath the topsoil and find the older parts.  I remember to call my sisters and let them tell me who I am.

I can pick back up the connecting threads.  I can rebuild each part of my house even better.  Let me prove it.  I can be the two birds going high and low, high and low.

Anna Liljekrantz (b.1987, Sweden) works with oil paintings. Behind the works lies an interest in the painting’s materiality and inherent potential. The practice is investigative and characterized by visible processes, the color turns into physical traces and manifests itself in the surface. Each finished painting becomes the starting point for the next, and so a series occurs; where one painting ends, the next takes over.

Sofie Clausager Sörensen (b. 1990, Denmark) works with sculpture and installation. In her practice, everyday life, handicrafts and sociocultural history act as central themes. Sörensen graduated with a master’s degree from the Art Academy in Trondheim in the spring of 2022. She has previously exhibited at, among others, Kjøpmannsgata Ung Kunst, Galleri Blunk, Nils Aas kunstverksted, Aarhus Artspace (DK), Kunsthal Aarhus (DK) and Spanien 19C (DK).

Wuri (b. 1979, South Korea) is working with various media such as photography, video, and installation using ephemeral everyday materials. She has held solo and group exhibitions in South Korea, Finland and Germany, and participated in the RaumArs Residency Program in Finland, in 2019. She often collaborates with people from various fields and works with charities and voluntary associations. Wuri is artist in residence at Lademoen Kunstnerverksteder, August – October 2023.
