Babel visningsrom for kunst welcomes you to the performance Tilbøyelighet by the artist duo Gideonsson / Londré on Friday December 13 at 19.00. (The performance starts at 19.30).

During their two-month stay at the Lademoen kunstnerverksteder, the artist duo Gideonsson / Londré has established a system to examine their body positions in relation to the horizontal plane. With a simple line at different angles, they notice and note their positions 24 times every day regardless of activity. During this ongoing work, they have involved author Mari Oseland, who has formulated texts on body positions based on these notes. All together, this forms the basis for the performance that will be presented at Babel. (Download Mari Oseland’s texts.)

Gideonsson / Londré is an artist duo that works towards finding a common body to produce knowledge and experience through. The work often expresses itself in performance and installations, where they create forms based on regulated activities. They explore alternative temporalities and behavioral patterns in new body and language compositions; an attempt to design rhythms based on ways of living in which external circumstances and surrounding processes are allowed to influence the conditions of various forms of human activity.

Gideonsson / Londré lives and works in Kallrör, Sweden. Recent exhibitions include The liminal system that runs across the skin of the world, Art Lab Gnesta (2019); Change, Havremagasinet (2019); I in the vertical, ESPAI 13 (2018).
