Daisy Jordan (UK): Roll over; Play dead!

Daisy

“My work tends to explore the tension between reality and the imaginary, life and death, and the human and the animal. I am also interested in liminal space, and in the temporary, the transient and the ephemeral. Puppets can articulate this beautifully as they embody life and death at once. They express the transient, cyclical nature of life and human experience. Lifeless objects, yet serving as vessels for human life, they are mediators between us (the living), and the land of objects. Existing between states, they almost become mythical beings, like ghosts and vampires and the living dead. They embody our human desire to believe.”
